Our Friends at Bivo

It's no secret that at Curious Creatures we are wary of our plastic.  So when we heard about a non-plastic bike specific water bottle we were immediately obsessed!

Did you know that chemicals in plastic can actually leach into your water? I am sure we all know by now the harmful effects of things like BPA and PFAS on our bodies and health. In fact some plastic bottle companies recommend you throw out your plastic bottle every couple years which is a major waste, filling up landfills and using lots of energy and carbon to make a yucky disposable bottle!

Bivo also has tons of performance benefits to combine with the thoughtfulness towards our environment and health. The innovative no flow technology is something that once you try you simply cannot go back to that antiquated water bottle design.

All water, no squeezing and no air!

Stainless steel is also a highly recyclable material due to its
simple composition of elements such as iron, carbon, chromium and nickel. This allows various scrap to be melted down and re-alloyed. Win win!

We are incredibly inspired by Bivo and what Carina has built. Carina is another female founder who has always been amazingly open and honest about the joys and challenges of starting a business and is quick to offer up advice and support.

Not to mention how great the Bivo colors look in all our wildflower fields or ferny loam lands.

We asked about the fave Bivo Thursday night ride in Richmond, VT and this is what they said! We'll call it the Bivo HQ loop!

"From the Bivo HQ it is just over an hour, and is always a classic for our Thursday night MTB rides during the summer and fall. You're going to want to do the loop clockwise (up Mother's Day, across the Connector and down Lung Ta or Visceral) or else you probably won't have as much fun. This loop doesn't scream fast and flowy - it takes riding it a few times to figure out how to build and carry speed without getting bucked around. But when you do figure it out, you won't want to ride any other trails, and that's what makes it so enjoyable."
